Winning the Silver, Going for the Gold

The Chicago Postal Customer Council (PCC) received national honors for achieving the Silver Level in the Premier PCC Program, designed to recognize PCCs outstanding results.

The goal of the Premier PCC Program is to provide PCCs with a set of national standards that serve as benchmarks of PCC excellence and address the PCC Network's core growth strategy: "implement and leverage network best practices to create business growth opportunities for the Postal Service and PCC members." Great Lakes Area Vice President Jo Ann Feindt challenged the Chicago PCC to "go for the gold" in 2010. The Chicago PCC actively participated in this joint effort with other local Illinois PCCs to host National PCC Day 2009 in northwest suburban Addison IL. The award was presented to the Chicago PCC as part of National PCC Day 2009 activities September 16, 2009. The event also included a trade show, mailing seminars, and a satellite broadcast from New York City featuring Postmaster General Jack Potter and other Postal Service and PCC officials.
