The PCC will hold a General Membership Appreciation meeting, combining current mailing information, remarks from major USPS leaders, and a piece of Chicago postal history.
The morning begins with a seminar on using the Intelligent Mail Package Barcode (IMpb),a must for commercial customers who use Priority Mail Express, Priority Mail, Parcel Select or First-Class Package Services to ship products. The session will also feature remarks from Jakki Krage Strako, Great Lakes Area Vice
President, Area Operations. You wont want to miss this opportunity to gain insight on the state and future direction of the Postal Service, and get information to help your companys
Following the seminar, the PCC will present the installation of Anthony B. Vaughan as the 49th Postmaster of Chicago. Vaughan, who was named Postmaster in late 2013, is in charge of customer services, including mail delivery and retail operations, in the City of Chicago and eight adjacent suburbs, as provided by more than 4,100 employees at 48 delivery stations and 29 retail-only facilities.
This special event is our way of showing appreciation for your membership in our PCC. If youve never attended a PCC meeting or educational seminar, this is the perfect opportunity to network with local USPS decision makers and mailing industry colleagues. PCCs are designed to build strong partnerships between the Postal Service and the mailing industry, and the Chicago PCC enjoys a special working relationship with the Chicago District, to the benefit of mailers both large and small.
